What Does Google Analytics Do?

Your Google Analytics account collects valuable information about site traffic, visitor demographics and behaviour and more. If connected to Google Search Console it can also provide you with information about position in search results, impressions, and click through rates for search queries. You can also connect it to other tools (for example, your booking software) and it will measure revenue generated from different channels and pages.

How Do I Access Google Analytics?

  1. Go to  https://www.google.com/analytics/ when signed into your Google account (your gmail).
  2. Click on Sign In at upper right
  3. Click on Analytics

If you have more than one domain prefix or extension associated with your site, you will see multiple properties listed. Generally, the acccount ID that ends with -1 is the one you will want to view.
